Anna has more than 20 years' experience in London’s legal recruitment sector, with ten of them as the Managing Director of Owen Reed.

Originally from New Zealand, she leads the team with her substantial experience and industry knowledge.

Anna has worked within the permanent, contract, and temporary disciplines, so her understanding of recruitment in London’s legal sector is second to none.

Anna loves spending weekends in the Suffolk countryside with her husband, her daughter, her dog, and her horse.

Sebastian established Owen Reed recruitment in 2001, and has now been working in the recruitment industry for more than 15 years.

Prior to this, he was a Commissioned Officer in Her Majesty’s Irish Guards for eight years.

Seb also represented Great Britain in the Javelin for two seasons.

He excels at providing leadership, as well as building and maintaining strong working relationships.

Seb has the ability to wear every hat within the business, and he’s passionate about Owen Reed continuing to be the premier recruitment agency for elite legal secretarial and support staff.

Seb enjoys playing cricket on a village green, but he won't be joining the English team any time soon.

Lauren joined Owen Reed in 2010, after graduating from university with a BA (Hons) in Modern History & Politics.

Having worked in a number of recruitment sectors, she moved into legal recruitment, and brings with her enthusiasm and dedication, along with the drive to enhance Owen Reed’s team of legal secretaries, PAs, and typists.

A testimony of her account management skills includes bringing new modules of support positions to the legal market.

Lauren has also been heavily involved with a number of restructuring projects, including change management, through to hiring into newly-created roles at all levels, including Secretarial Managers and entry-level positions.

She’s passionate about ensuring that as a team, everyone at Owen Reed delivers a first-class recruitment service to both candidates and clients alike, and she’s constantly working behind the scenes with the Directors, to ensure that the day-to-day operations flow efficiently, professionally, and are improved wherever possible.

Lauren recently purchased her own home, so she’s excited about being on the property ladder.

However, it’s actually her father who’s on the property ladder, because he’s painting the ceiling.

Jane Alexander,

Before joining Owen Reed, Jane spent 24 years working for the leading law firm Eversheds.

Whilst there, she spent eight years as a Secretary in the property team, then seven years as a Document Production Operator, and then nine years as the Supervisor of the large Document Production team.

She also implemented bespoke testing procedures for both DP and secretarial staff.

In addition, Jane also liaised with recruitment agencies, in order to fulfil the firm’s temporary secretarial needs.

She’s also worked exclusively with some of Owen Reed’s client firms, whilst they were creating their own DP Departments from scratch.

With such a wealth of experience, her ability to understand the requirements of major law firms improves the communication between the recruiter, the client, and the candidate.

Jane has built successful relationships across law firms in the City of London, working closely with them, in order to enable their future recruitment needs, as well as the restructuring and skill enhancements of their support staff.

Jane has a vibrant personality, so she has friends all over the world.

She's thinking about getting her clever puppy an audition on 'Britain's Got Talent.'

Jane loves going on holiday, but she’s still waiting to retire to Fuerteventura.

Natalie Böhmer,

Natalie worked as a Legal Secretary for an international law firm in South Africa, before relocating to the UK, where she became involved in the accounting sector.

She began working for Owen Reed in 2006, which provided her with full support to continue with her studies in accountancy.

Natalie started her employment with Owen Reed as an Accounts Administrator, and was then promoted to Finance Assistant.

In 2015, she was promoted to Finance Manager.

Natalie’s role as Finance Manager sees her running the payroll function for both our temporary and full-time staff, as well as purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, credit control, and VAT returns.

She also assists with compliance, diversity, and background checks.

With a full-time job, plus looking after her two children, which is another full-time job in itself, Natalie doesn’t have much spare time.

That’s because she’s got a husband who won’t even change a lightbulb.

However, on the rare occasions when all the lightbulbs in the house are working, she enjoys watching Eastenders.
