Owen Reed is looking to recruit a motivated HR Administrator to join a top law firm in London
Working Hours : Monday – Friday 9.30am– 5.30pm
(flexibility may be required in order to fulfill the requirements of this role).
The HR Team
This is fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit, friendly and supportive team of HR and Recruitment professionals. Led by the Director of People and Culture, the team currently consists of a Head of HR, Head of Recruitment, Senior HR Manager, HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor, Senior Recruitment Advisor, HR Assistant and an Early Careers Advisor. As the HR team grows, our aim is to recruit astute, motivated and enthusiastic individuals to provide an excellent level of customer service to internal clients and represent thebrand externally
Role/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administrative support for the full employee life cycle including on boarding & induction, benefits, payroll, leavers and changes etc;
- Deal with general HR inquiries from staff and partners;
- Work closely with the HR Assistant to keep the HR database accurate, up-to-date and secure, ensure that they are being used effectively
- Assist the Payroll Administrator/HR Assistant with payroll collation and changes each month;
- At peak times, assist with the arrangement of interviews as part of the recruitment process;
- Assist the recruitment team with administrative tasks relating to the apprenticeship and graduate recruitment process, including room bookings, diary management and internal communications;
- Ensure data is destroyed and removed from the firm’s systems in a timely manner in accordance with the firm’s destruction and retention policy and compliant with GDPR requirements;
- Carry out research where needed, either internally or externally;
- Support the wider HR team as necessary with other projects or responsibilities.
- Carry out any other necessary duties as requested.
Personal Specification
Our ideal candidate will possess most of the following attributes:
- Academically strong, with good results in Maths and English and ideally educated to degree level;
- Previous administrative experience within HR would be ideal but is not essential;
- Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint;
- Has a professional, willing and ‘can do’ attitude;
- Highly accurate and with a keen attention to detail in all areas of work;
- Good time management skills, and a proven ability to multi-task;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Calm, confident and resilient. Is flexible and efficient;
- Able to work as part of a team.
