Owen Reed is looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator for a top law firm in London.

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day at home).

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join a leading international law firm in London. This Learning and Development Coordinator role sits within a high-performing Learning & Development team and plays a central part in delivering seamless training, compliance and development programmes across multiple offices.

The Learning and Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting attorney development, maintaining compliance tracking systems and ensuring all training programmes are delivered efficiently and accurately. This Learning and Development Coordinator position is ideal for a highly organised, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development Coordination

• Coordinate firmwide training programmes and manage attendance tracking for the Learning and Development Coordinator function.
• Work closely with Knowledge Partners to ensure smooth delivery of training sessions.
• Support onboarding and departure processes for attorneys across multiple offices.
• Assist with the management and enhancement of LMS systems and e-learning content.
• Coordinate Practice Group training sessions, including logistics, invitations and attendance tracking.
• Administer mandatory compliance training and monitor completion deadlines.
• Support mentoring programmes and firmwide development initiatives.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

• Track bar licence and certificate renewals across jurisdictions.
• Monitor visa expiry dates and manage renewal processes.
• Support regulatory compliance requirements including continuing competence monitoring.
• Produce accurate compliance reports and maintain data integrity across systems.
• Support accreditation applications for training programmes.
• Review weekly and monthly compliance reports and update tracking systems.

Systems & Reporting

• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation and learning paths.
• Maintain training records and generate reports across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the creation and distribution of training surveys and feedback tools.
• Maintain accurate training and attendance databases.
• Update weekly US training reports and other compliance reporting tools.

Administration & Support

• Book external training courses and manage approvals.
• Process invoices and expense claims accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor departmental training budgets and spending.
• Support Inclusion initiatives and firmwide events.
• Provide accurate training records and certificates for departing attorneys.
• Take ownership of general administrative tasks within the Learning and Development Coordinator role.

Skills & Experience

The successful Learning and Development Coordinator will have:

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in Learning & Development within a professional services or law firm environment.
• Strong understanding of training coordination and compliance processes.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive and solution-focused mindset.
• Experience with LMS systems (desirable).
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
