Owen Reed is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary in Corporate to join a top law firm in London with Hybrid setup - 3 days in the office 2 days working from homeThe Legal Secretary will deliver comprehensive secretarial and PA support to a designated group of Partners, Associates, and Professional Support Lawyers (PSLs).
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Tasks:
- Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings, and manage travel arrangements with precision.
- Produce presentation materials using PowerPoint and ensure the rapid and accurate generation of bills.
- Perform typing, editing, and proofreading tasks, ensuring document accuracy.
- Maintain and update the client relationship management system (InterAction) and prepare New Matter memos with meticulous attention to detail.
- Stay abreast of internal policies and training requirements, fulfilling general administrative tasks as necessary.
Personal Management:
- Efficiently manage paper and electronic filing, adhering to the firm’s archiving procedures.
- Close files in a timely manner and manage document delivery and distribution list updates.
Client Focus:
- Address client inquiries promptly and professionally, supporting business development activities such as client lunches.
- Maintain high standards of communication, confidentiality, and discretion.
Teamwork:
- Provide support across the office, ensuring seamless business operations.
Results-Driven:
- Assist in managing Partners’ emails and support internal process coordination, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks.
Working Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with flexibility required as per business needs.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent required; A Levels preferred.
- Proficiency in typing (minimum RSA II) with a secretarial qualification a preference - such as CILEX qualification
Experience:
- Previous experience in Corporate law within a legal setting is desired.
- Background in supporting senior staff in a partnership structure is beneficial.
Technical Abilities:
- Exceptional spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Proficient in Word, Outlook, and has a working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Typing speed of 60 wpm or above.

- Excellent telephone communication skills and a self-motivated, detail-oriented work ethic.
